Technical fix

Technical fix

Technical fix is a term applied to an engineering or technical solution to a problem caused by human nature.

Frequently the solution is an impractical, frequently humorous, proposal such as the Internet Protocol Evil bit or the "suitable application of high explosives" to interpersonal problems. However it can be applied to practical solutions such as the design of automobiles and highways to protect fallible drivers.
