"The Outcasts of 19 Schuyler Place" is a 2004 young adult novel by E. L. Konigsburg. The novel tells the story of Margaret Rose Kane, a 12-year-old girl, who is a victim of bullying at summer camp, leaves to spend the summer with her two uncles. Her uncles have spent 45 years creating beautiful and elegant porcelain towers, but the government demands them torn down. This story shows how Margaret fights for history,art and her family's possessions. The character Margaret Rose Kane, first appeared as an adult in Konigsburg's 2000 Novel, "Silent to the Bone" [http://www.simonsays.com/content/destination.cfm?tab=1&pid=351641&agid=8] .
