Australian rules football er in theAustralian Football League (VFL/AFL ) andSANFL .Fielke played at total of 364 SANFL games for the
West Adelaide Football Club . When he was young, he was part of West Adelaide's 1983 premiership side (who haven't won a premiership since). The highlight of his career though came in 1985, when he won theMagarey Medal . For that season, he led the league in disposals, and used the ball very effectively against tough opposition.AFL career
He was recruited by Collingwood for the
1987 VFL season , after the Magpies looked for new talent across the border. He impressed, playing 16 games for the team in the season on the wing. Unfortantely, they couldn't see the value of him to stay at the club, and he moved back into the State based SANFL league.He played in
South Australia for 3 seasons, before being part of the inauguralAdelaide Crows side. He played 24 games for them, switching between the teams.At the end of the
1992 AFL season , Fielke's contributions were no longer needed at the club. He continued to play in the SANFL until the end of the 1997 season, when he announced his retirement from the game.
