"Lepista" is a genus of mushrooms, formerly grouped in the large genus "Tricholoma" and more recently found to be closely related to (and possibly within) "Clitocybe" [Moncalvo JM. et al. (2002). One hundred and seventeen clades of euagarics. "Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution" 23: 357–400] . However, "Clitocybe" itself appears polyphyletic and may have to be split.
