cities =Beacons Reservoir is the northernmost of the three
reservoir s in the Taff Fawr valley inSouth Wales . It is owned byWelsh Water . As its name suggests, it is located in theBrecon Beacons National Park in thePowys unitary authority area and within the historic county boundaries ofBreconshire .There is access to the
Taff Trail and theNavvies Line from the car park below thedam .Archaeological sites
During periods of low water, the remains of
longhouse s can be seen. One building overlooking the Taff Fawr has foundations of massive weathered slabs. Flint tools have been found. Warning: Welsh Water advises that remains should not be approached due to the danger of deep mud.External links
