Johannes ("John") Maria van Loen (born February 4, 1965 in Utrecht) is a former football striker from The Netherlands, who earned seven caps for the Netherlands national football team, in which he scored one goal. He was a member of the Dutch team at the 1990 FIFA World Cup in Italy under manager Leo Beenhakker. He made his debut for Holland on November 20, 1985, in the decisive 1986 FIFA World Cup Qualifying Match against Belgium (2-1).

Nicknamed "De Rode Baron" ("The Red Baron") and "De Vuurtoren" ("The Lighthouse") because of his red hair, he played for FC Utrecht (1983-88), Roda JC (1988-90), RSC Anderlecht (1990-91), Ajax Amsterdam (1991-93), Feyenoord Rotterdam (1993-95), Sanfrecce Hiroshima (1995), FC Utrecht (1996-98) and, finally, for APOEL (1998-99). After his professional career he became an assistant-coach at FC Utrecht, the club from his birthplace where he started as a pro.
