- Frank Barsalona
Frank Barsalona was an American talent agent, founder of
Premier Talent in 1964, the first booking agency to focus on rock performers. He set up the first American concerts by many bands of theBritish Invasion , including theYardbirds ,Rolling Stones andThe Beatles , and also worked withMitch Ryder ,Bruce Springsteen ,J. Geils Band ,Tom Petty , U2,Grand Funk Railroad ,Led Zeppelin ,Humble Pie ,Van Halen ,The Who andHerman's Hermits .He is a founding member and board member of the
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame , and has also received the Hall of Fame's Lifetime Achievement Award in the Non-Performer Category. In addition, he has received the Performance Touring Hall of Fame Award.Frank's wife, June Barsalona, was a writer/editor for various rock publications and is still active in the industry through charities such as the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Foundation. Their daughter, Nicole Barsalona, graduated from Boston University's College of Communications and now also works in the industry.
