Pécsi Mecsek FC is a Hungarian football club from the city of Pécs.

This club was formed on February 16, 1973, when 4 other football clubs were merged together. (Pécsi Dózsa, Ércbányász SC, Helyipari SC and Pécsi Építők). They play their home games at Stadium of Újmecsekalja.

In 1974 a 5th club was merged into it, Pécsi Bányász.

Team colors : Red-Black.

History

Pécs were promoted to the first division in 1955 and they have managed to play on top flight to 1975 since except for the season of 1958-59 when they finished as champions of the second division after the relegation.Pécs played in second division in the season of 1975-76.Pécs finished as champions of the second division in the season of 1976-77.PMSC has been playing in the first division for 20 years beetwen 1977 and 1997.They won the Hungarian Cup in 1990.
