Darul Huda Islamic Academy

Darul Huda Islamic Academy is an Islamic institution situated on the banks of the River Kadalundy, located at Chemmad Tirurangadi, Kerala, India spreading over 11 acres of land (44,500 m²) with calm and serene surroundings. The Foundation stone was laid on 25 December 1983, and started functioning on 26 June 1986. The Academy is Affiliated to world famous Al-Azhar University, Cairo & Jamia Millia University, New Delhi. There 19 co-institutions of Academy spread all over South India.

The Academy aims at bringing up a yonger generation of Islamic scholars well-equipped with modern tools of knowledge. It has a unique system of education where a student admitted to the institute after five years of primary education has to go for 12 years of education (2+4+4+2 Preliminary, Special Secondary, Degree, Masters). After 12 years of education the student will come out as Master of Islamic Studies & Arabic Language with good command of English and Urdu languages.

The Academy differs from other traditional Islamic institutions in Kerala as other institution may offer only religious studies while the Academy offers a unique curriculum combining religious and secular studies and giving emphasis on different languages. As a result the scholars studied in the Academy could get wide acceptancefact|date=November 2007 in Keralite Muslim Community and more and more institutions started to change their curriculmn and accept the Darul Huda Model.

The Student Associaltion (ASAs) of the Academy publishes a Malayalam Monthly Magazine named "Thelitcham" (means "clarity"). Scholars coming out from this Academy is known as "Hudawi" as a title. Alumni association of the Academy is Known as HADIA (Hudawis Association for Devoted Islamic Activities).
