Bayard Rustin High School is the third and newest high school of the West Chester Area School District in West Chester, PA, named after civil rights activist Bayard Rustin. Construction began in 2003 and, as a result, many district students at the end of the 2002-2003 school year were redistricted, i.e. sent to another school in the district, in order to have a direct path to the correct secondary school. The athletic teams for the school are known as the Golden Knights. The school's official colors are navy blue, vegas gold, and white.
Students who attend Stetson Middle School will go to Rustin, originally along with high school students who were redistricted in 2003 and attended Henderson and East as 9th and 10th graders in the 2005-06 school year.
The end of the 2007-08 school year marked the first graduating class in the history of Rustin High School.
Athletics
The Rustin Girls Soccer Team won the Distrcit 1 AA Championship in it's inaugural year, beating Villa Joseph Marie 1-0.
