Echembrotus

Echembrotus

Echembrotus was an ancient Arcadian Greek lyricist and poet. According to Pausanias, Echembrotus offered a bronze tripod to Heracles when the latter won at the Amphictyonic Games. [Pausanius. "Description of Greece", 10.7.6 - "Echemrotus of Arcadia dedicated this pleasant gift to Heracles, When he won a victory at the games of the Amphictyons, Singing for the Greeks tunes and lamentations."]
