September 9 ,1923 the first plane took off on a regular line for Bucharest. It was the first commercial night flight in the history of the world aviation. The "Franko - Rumen" company decided so in practical reasons. It was the only way for their plane on the Paris-Belgrade-Bucharest-Istanbul line to reach its final destination before the at the time being famous luxurious "Orient Express " train which left Paris at the same time and with the same destination, but moved during the night as well.ee also
