Snookeroo was Elton John's contribution to Ringo Starr's 1974 album "Goodnight Vienna". The song, which concerns a happy-go-lucky lout from northern England, was written about Starr himself. [Claude Bernardin and Tom Stanton, "Rocket Man: Elton John A to Z".] The title refers to the billiards game snooker. Charting as a double A-side with "No No Song", it reached number three on the U.S. "Billboard" Hot 100.
