Clarion award

The Clarion Award is an American award for excellence in communications. It is administered by the Association for Women in Communications, but both men and women are eligible. It was started in 1972.

The Clarion awards are named for the medieval trumpet known for its clarity, symbolizing excellence in clear, concise, communications. [http://www.tsa-usa.org/news/Clarion-award1006.htm] Prizes are awarded annually in 149 categories of communications disciplines, including advertising & marketing, audiovisual productions, books & CDs, brochures, custom & special publications, education, film, fund development, magazines, major news events, newsletters, newspapers, online media, photography, graphics & design communications, public relations, radio and television.
