Laura Kate Boyer is a clinical assistant professor at the Science and Technology Studies Department at
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute .Background
In 1991, Boyer received her BA (Cum Laude) in Geography and Psychology at
Macalester College inSaint Paul, Minnesota . She received her MA in Human Geography at theUniversity of British Columbia in 1994. In 2001, Boyer received her Ph.D in Human Geography atMcGill University . As a professor, she specializes in urban studies, public policy, science and technology studies, as well as feminism and other social theories.Published works
