vicepresident=Sulejman Tihić was a member of the
tripartite Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina , representing that nation's Bosniak community from October 2002 untilNovember 6 2006 . He was Chairman of the Presidency betweenFebruary 28 2004 and October 2004 andChairman of the House of Peoples sinceNovember 14 2007 .Sulejman Tihić was born in the town of
Šamac , northern Bosnia,SFR Yugoslavia . Tihić got his degree inLaw from the University ofSarajevo . In 1990, he was one of the founding members of the BosniakParty of Democratic Action (SDA). During the war, Tihić was interned in a Serbian concentration camp, regarding which he said (to a Slovenian Television reporter) that: " [I] would not have survived the camp if there were no good Serbs." From 1994 to 1999, Tihić served as a diplomat in the Bosnian Foreign Ministry, in the rank of Minister Counsellor.On
October 13 2001 , Tihić was chosen to succeedAlija Izetbegović as head of the SDA party. He was elected to the Presidency onOctober 5 2002 . He won the elections once more in 2005. He is married, with three children.External links
