Al Ahly Benghazi ( _ar. الأهلي بنغازي) is a Libyan football club based in Benghazi, Libya. Mohammed Bashir Al-Mogherbi was the first president of the club. Ahly Benghazi has its roots in a political party, the Omar al Mukhtar society.

The club won 5 cups from 1980 to 1996. Al Ahly Benghazi was made a professional football club in 1947 although al ahly had existed years before then. Al Ahly is the most supported club in benghazi and is famous in Libya for its passionate and sometimes wildly violant crowds who stood by the club through frustrating times (e.g stadium being demolished by the government without warning in 1999, destroying many old and traditional artefacts of the club. This has since been resolved and the club have been given 77 acres of land). the local derby between al ahly and al nasser guarantees a very intense atmosphere and one or two riots if not more. there are many clubs in benghazi but this is the biggest derby in Benghazi as Al Ahly and Al Nasser are the two clubs with the most fans. This derby is the second most prevalent in Libya following Al Ahly of Tripoli and Al Ittihad.
