Early life
Faure was born in 1956 to William (1920–1994) and Antonio Faure (1921–2010) in Pretoria, South Africa. Faure was a championship swimmer around the age of ten. In 1975, at age 18-19, Faure joined the popular South African band Rabbitt. In 1977, Trevor Rabin left the band for a solo career (he would later join Yes), leaving Duncan as the lead vocalist. He and the band released the third and final album, which was described as an "overwhelming experience." In January 1978, the band was broken up, leaving each member to their separate ways, and the most popular band in South Africa, was no more. Later that year, Faure joined the Scottish band The Bay City Rollers. The band shortened their name to the Rollers and their next album with Duncan was Elevator, released in 1979. Duncan later sang the song "24 Hours" on the 1987 soundtrack to the Madonna motion picture, "Who's That Girl".
Personal life
Duncan is a huge fan of the Beatles. He enjoys swimming, as he did as a child.
