Rahim Oberholtzer was a game show contestant on "Twenty One" in 2000. He was born in Texas to a German father and a Pakistani mother.
In his four wins and bonus games, Oberholtzer won $1,120,000, which broke the previous single player winnings record held by John Carpenter, who won $1 million on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire".
A few weeks later, Oberholtzer's record was broken on "Greed" by Curtis Warren, who added $1 million to his previous show winnings, giving him $1,410,000 in cash.
Oberholtzer ranks eleventh on the all-time winnings list. He was since passed by Carpenter, who won $125,000 during the "Millionaire" tournament of champions, Ashlee Register, winner of the "Duel" tournament, and the first 2 millionaires on "
