Fiona Pitt-Kethley is a British
poet ,novelist ,travel writer andjournalist . She was born on21 November 1954 . She lived for many years inHastings ,East Sussex , but currently lives inSpain with her husband, former Britishchess championJames Plaskett and their son, Alexander.She was educated at
Chelsea School of Art and worked evenings as a theatre usherette at the Old Vic and National Theatre. Afterwards she worked as a teacher and film extra but was primarily a full-time writer. Her first major collection of poetry "Sky Ray Lolly" was published in 1986. Her work is characterised by her sexual frankness and humour.Fiona Pitt-Kethley has also worked as a freelance journalist and has written for the Independent, the Big Issue and others.
