Hinduism in Korea

Hinduism is a minority religion in Korea. Through Buddhism, it has also had an indirect impact on certain aspects of traditional Korean thought. The Four Heavenly Kings that can be seen in Korean Buddhist temples originated from the Lokapālas.

There is one Hindu temple in Seoul the Sri Radha Shyamasundar mandir [(http://www.krishnakorea.com/seoul.php)] This was established by ISKCON a Gaudiya Vaishnav sect of Hinduism. There is another temple at outskirts of Seoul city Sri Sri Radha Krishna templea real big independent traditional temple run by same ISKCON KOREA ,deatils can be found at [(www.krishnakorea.com )] . The country is home to a small number of migrants from India, including students and engineers; some of these are Hindu. In addition, yoga has gained increasing popularity.

Though South Korea is mostly secular, the range of religious beliefs displayed is quite broad. The shamanism practiced in the country is vaguely similar to Hinduism. Most religious people adhere to either Buddhism or Christianity. There is still a strong Confucian presence here.
