- Wormelow Tump
Wormelow Tump is a village in
Herefordshire ,England , 11 km (7mile s) south ofHereford and 15 km (9 miles) north west ofRoss-on-Wye .The tump itself was a mound which local tradition holds was the burial place of
King Arthur 's sonAmyr . The tump was destroyed during road widening in 1896.The
Domesday Book mentions the custom that all citizens of Herefordshire who owned a horse were required to attend the meeting of all the Hundreds, which took place every three years at Wormelow Tump.
