G. J. Teale

G. J. Teale

(Geoffrey, J. Teale), was born in Dover, England and grew on the Romney Marsh in Kent, England.

Using the name "G.J. Teale" he was the lead guitarist in the Schechter-Teale Band. For a short period in the early-mid 1990s they were considered a hot prospect but, despite drawing reasonable audiences, never went beyond small scale independent record sales. G.J. was a guitarist and song writer, with a style sometimes compared to Kenny Wayne Sheperd and clearly heavily influenced by Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Since 1998 Geoff has been working in software development, in particular he has been involved with Free Software for many years as a contributor, user and proponent. Geoff is member 253 of the Free Software Foundation and a founder of the rejuvenated Sussex Linux User Group.
