- Sir John Morris, 1st Baronet
Sir John Morris, 1st Baronet (15 July 1745-25 June 1819), was a Welsh industrialist. He was the son of Robert Morris, a Shropshire entrepreneur. Morris came to Swansea to start a copper works. He built the initial streets of Morris Town which is now known as Morriston.
In 1806 he was created a Baronet, of Clasemont in the County of Glamorgan.
