Barbara Paterson

Barbara Paterson is a Canadian artist, primarily known for her bronze figurative works, specializing in a variety of sculpture media including wax, stone, bronze and welded steel.

Barbara has sculpted numerous public commissions, including the “Famous Five” monuments in Calgary’s Olympic Square and on Parliament Hill, Ottawa. A detail image from the “Famous Five” monuments was featured on a Canada Post stamp in October 1999, and is currently pictured on the Canadian $50.00 bill. She has publicly exhibited her art across Canada, in Bulgaria, Singapore and New York.

Barbara lives in Edmonton with her husband John. They have three sons (David, Duncan & Jamie) and 7 grandchildren all living in Canada.
