Heikki Vihtori Hasu (born
March 21 ,1926 ) is a retired FinnishNordic skier .He was born in Sippola.
He won two medals in
nordic combined at theWinter Olympics (1948: gold, 1952: silver) and another gold medal in the 4 x 10 km at the1952 Winter Olympics inOslo .Hasu also won two medals at the
1950 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships inLake Placid, New York with a gold in the Nordic combined and a silver in the 4 x 10 km.He won the Nordic combined event at the
Holmenkollen ski festival in 1953. For his Nordic combined and cross country skiing successes, Hasu became the first Finn to be awarded theHolmenkollen medal in 1952 (shared withStein Eriksen ,Torbjørn Falkanger , andNils Karlsson .). He is also the last Holmenkollen medalist to win in more than onenordic skiing discipline.References
