Slovenian Parliament

The Slovenian Parliament ( _sl. Parlament Slovenije) is the bicameral legislative body of Slovenia based in the capital Ljubljana.

It has two chambers, the National Assembly (lower house) and the National Council (upper house).

The parliament convenes in a modernist palace in the Square of the Republic in the center of Ljubljana, built between 1954 and 1959 by the Slovenian architect Vinko Glanz. An unrealized project for the Slovenian Parliament, designed by the architect Jože Plečnik in the late 1940s, features on the Slovenian euro coins.
