ynopsis

In the Wildfire series opener, Kris Furillo is released from juvenile prison and accepts a job from horse trainer Pablo Betart and the owner of Raintree Farm, Jean Ritter. Jean is apprehensive of letting Kris stay on the farm, especially when the farm is having financial problems, but agrees. When Kris arrives at the farm she shows her stuff on the track with a horse named Oklahoma Crude. She slso catches the eye of Jean's son Matt and Matt's best friend Junior Davis. Dani, Junior's sister, becomes a bit jealous of Matt and Junior's reactions over Kris, even though her and Matt's relationship has dissolved. Jean continues to fear Raintree's financial status, which could be solved if she agrees to sign on with Davis Farm. The Ritter's await a victory for Oklahoma Crude at the races, but Davis' Avatar races past them to the winner's circle. Dani, Amber and Kris's first impression doesn't go well.
