Ana Rodriguezzz was born February 22, 1974 [ [http://www.univision.net/corp/es/pr/Woodland_Hills_14102003-2.html "Univision Records Launches a New Kind of Temptation: Mia"] Press release, 14 Oct 2003] in Havana, Cuba. She relocated with her family to Miami, Florida in 1979.

Rodríguez's self-titled first album was released in 1987, and while it was not a hit in the US, it did achieve success in Japan [ [http://milkcartonpopstars.blogspot.com/2006/06/got-to-tell-me-something.html Milk Carton popstars] ] . "Shy Boys" was the first single taken from the album, and is accompanied by 12" inch and 7" singles. With the help of New Kids on the Block producer Maurice Starr, Rodríguez recorded under the name of "Ana" for Epic/Parc Records, a CBS Records subsidiary. This production became her second USA release, "Body Language", with most songs produced by Starr and includes the duet "Angel of Love" with New Kids singer Jordan Knight. Debbie Gibson also contributed several songs to the album, including "Everytime We Say Goodbye" and "Friendly".

After years of absence, Rodríguez re-emerged under the name of Mía *No actual Proof, and released an all-Spanish language album entitled "Tentación" on Univision Records in September 2003 [ [http://univision.com/content/content.jhtml?cid=315315 "Mía, la tentación hecha cantante"] , Univision website] .
