Johan Fabricius

Johan Fabricius

Johan Fabricius (Bandung, August 24, 1899 - Glimmen, June 21, 1981) was a Dutch writer, journalist and adventurer.

Fabricius wrote approximately 60 books, among them many books for children. He is well known for writing the historical children's book "De scheepsjongens van Bontekoe" (1923), which was reprinted 28 times as of 2003 [ [http://www.dbnl.org/tekst/fabr005sche01_01/colofon.htm Full text of "De scheepsjongens van Bontekoe"] ] . For the "Delftsche Slaolie Fabrieken" he wrote an illustrated publicity serial, "De wondere avonturen van Arretje Nof" (1928).
