The nihongo|Kōtoku Line|高徳線|"Kōtoku-sen" is one of the main railway lines of the
Shikoku Railway Company (JR Shikoku) inJapan . It connects the prefectural capitals of Takamatsu inKagawa Prefecture and Tokushima inTokushima Prefecture on the island ofShikoku . Its route hugs the northeastern coast of the island. Its name includes onekanji from each of the terminals: 高 ("kō", the "taka" of Takamatsu) and 徳 ("toku" from Tokushima).The name of
Sanuki Province , the province that preceded the modern prefecture of Kagawa, appears in the names of some stations on the line.Data
