Frederick Franck (born
April 12 1909 inMaastricht , TheNetherlands –June 5 ,2006 inWarwick, New York , U.S.) a painter, sculptor, and author of 30 books onBuddhism and other subjects who was known for his interest in human spirituality. He was a native of The Netherlands and became aUS citizen in 1945. He was adental surgeon by trade, and worked with Dr. Albert Schweitzer [http://www.spiritualityandpractice.com/teachers/teachers.php?id=285&g=0] . His sculptures are in the collections of theMuseum of Modern Art , theWhitney Museum of American Art , theFogg Art Museum , theTokyo National Museum , and the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, as well as at Pacem in Terris, a small sculpture garden and park adjacent to his home in Warwick, NY.Bibliography
