Prenkë Jakova

Prenkë Jakova

Prenkë Jakova (1917-1969) was an Albanian composer. He taught himself composition while studying the clarinet in Rome. In 1958 his opera "Mrika" became the first Albanian opera to be performed.

Jakova was a native of Shkodër.
