Barkan Industrial Park

The Barkan Industrial Park ( _he. איזור התעשיה ברקן, lit. Barkan Industrial Area) is located about 25 kilometres east of Tel Aviv within the jurisdiction of the Shomron Regional Council whose offices are located at the northern entrance. The industrial park is located adjacent to Barkan. Founded in 1982, the industrial park now includes about 120 businesses and factories manufacturing plastics, metal-work, food, textile, and more. About 5000 workers are employed, about 90% of which are Palestinian Arabs, and the rest Israeli.
