Alan Mark Davis is
Professor in the College of Business at theUniversity of Colorado at Colorado Springs . Davis earned hisPh.D. inComputer Science from theUniversity of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1975. He has held academic positions atGeorge Mason University and theUniversity of Tennessee . He has been a visiting faculty member atUniversity of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign , theUniversity of Jos (Nigeria), theUniversity of the Western Cape (South Africa), theUniversity of Technology, Sydney (Australia), theTechnical University of Madrid (Spain), andAtma Jaya University, Yogyakarta (Indonesia). He has held industry positions atGTE (a Director of R&D at GTE Communication Systems inPhoenix, Arizona ; and Director of the Software Technology Center at GTE Laboratories inWaltham, Massachusetts ), BTG (Vice President inVienna, Virginia ), and Omni-Vista (President inColorado Springs, Colorado ). He is an editor for theJournal of Systems and Software (1987-present) and was Editor-in-Chief ofIEEE Software from 1994 to 1998 and an editor forCommunications of the ACM (1981-1991). He was aFulbright Senior Specialist from 2003 through 2007. He has been anIEEE Fellow since 1994.Books
