V2: Vertical Velocity is a steel roller coaster located at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois.

The coaster’s track is essentially a large U-shape that is loaded at the base and uses a series of Linear Induction Motors (LIMs) to accelerate the train up each of its vertical spikes. Its chairlift-style suspended train holds twenty-eight riders two across in fourteen rows. The front tower is a twisted spiral, and the back tower is straight with a holding brake.

The ride begins by launching the train forward up the front tower. The train descends and is launched backwards through the station up the straight tower. When passing through the station again, it accelerates to its maximum speed of approximately 70MPH. Upon the train's second and final passing on the straight tower, a holding brake is activated that leaves the train suspended at the top of the tower for a few seconds before releasing it back down for a final ascent of the front tower.
