The Chronicle of Philanthropy

The Chronicle of Philanthropy is a biweekly newspaper that covers the nonprofit world. Based in Washington, DC, it is the top news source for charity leaders, foundation executives, fund raisers, and other people involved in philanthropy. It is owned by The Chronicle of Higher Education Inc., which also publishes The Chronicle of Higher Education, a weekly newspaper covering colleges and universities.

The Chronicle of Philanthropy is known, in part, for research projects such as The Philanthropy 400, which annually ranks the nation's largest nonprofit groups based on the amount of money they raise, and The Philanthropy 50, which ranks the individuals who give the most money to nonprofit groups each year.

Its print newspaper is published 18 times a year and its * website is regularly updated with a range of news stories, blogs, podcasts, and live events about and for the nonprofit world.

The Chronicle of Philanthropy's editor is Stacy Palmer. Its assistant managing editors are Peter Panepento and Heather Joslyn.
