Kalispel-Pend d'oreille is a near extinct language spoken on the Kalispel Reservation in Washington and on the Flathead Reservation in Montana. Alternate names include Kalispel-"Flathead", "Flathead"-Kalispel, and Salish. Dialects include Pend D'oreille, Kalispel (Qalispé), Flathead ("Séliš") and Spokane {Npoqínišcn). In 1997, there were about 200 older adult speakers within an ethnic group of approximately 6,800 who had shifted to English.
