Landvik

Landvik is a former municipality in Aust-Agder county, Norway.

It was created as Landvik formannskapsdistrikt in 1837. An uninhabited part of Birkenes was moved to Landvik on 1 January 1883, and Landvik also got the uninhabited property Salvestjønn from Øyestad on 1 January 1962. At the same time the municipality Eide with 504 inhabitants was incorporated into Landvik.

On 1 January 1971 Landvik was incorporated into the neighboring municipality Grimstad. Prior to the merger Landvik had a population of 2.781.
