Robert "Bobby" Thomas Reynolds (born on July 17, 1982) in
Cape Cod, Massachusetts) is an American professional tennisplayer. Reynolds currently lives in Acworth, Georgiawith fellow pro and doubles partner Robby Ginepri.
Reynolds is the only American through to the third round of the 2008 Wimbledon competition.
He reached the third round of the
Australian Openin 2005, defeating Nicolas Almagroand Andrei Pavelbefore falling to Spaniard Rafael Nadal. On December 12, 2005, he reached his career high singles ranking when he moved up to 92nd in the world. He teamed with Andy Roddickto capture his first ATP doubles title at the 2006 RCA Championships in Indianapolis.
Reynolds led the
Vanderbilt Commodoresto the NCAA Men's Tennis Championshipfinal in 2003, and was named the tournament's MVP (he defeated fellow future pro Amer Delicof Illinois in the team final, but the Commodores fell 4–3 to the Illini in the championship). That same year, he finished the season number one in the nation in singles. He is coached by former pro Ricardo Acuna.
