The Jewish Press

"The Jewish Press" is an American weekly newspaper, geared toward the American Jewish community. It describes itself as "America's Largest Independent Jewish Weekly". Founded as a national weekly in January, 1960 by Rabbi Sholom Klass and Raphael Schreiber, the newspaper has a religiously Modern Orthodox Judaism and politically conservative viewpoint and editorial policy. Aaron Klein has a column that appears every week as does Rebbetzin Esther Jungreis. Other contributors have included Steven Plaut, Yitzchak Levine and Phyllis Chesler, Shlomo Riskin, Avi Weiss, Menachem Porush. Former editors have included Rabbi Meir Kahane and Arnold Fine, the current senior editor is Jason Maoz.
