On December 13, 2007 AMIS Holdings, Inc, parent company of AMI Semiconductor was acquired by
ON Semiconductor , based in Phoenix Arizona for a reported 915 million dollars. The deal is slated to be finalized sometime in the first half of 2008.On March 12, 2008 90% of the stockholders voted to approve the merger between AMI Semiconductor and
ON Semiconductor , with the deal to close on March 17th. It was announced thatON Semiconductor will phase out the 5" wafer fabrication unit inPocatello ,Idaho by March, 2010.ee also
