Push for Coin is the first recorded output of Hot Water Music. The band first recorded the songs with Rob McGregor in 1995. The band self-released a demo tape of these recordings. Later in the year, the band re-recorded the demo tracks with Steve Heritage and released a four song EP on Happy Days Records.

The tracks from the EP release can be found on the Never Ender release on No Idea Records. The original demo tracks can be found on the special bonus disc from that album.
