Ellesmere Rangers F.C. are an English association football club based in the town of Ellesmere, Shropshire. For the 2008-09 season they are members of the West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division.

History

Ellesmere Rangers F.C. was founded in 1969, although it had its roots in the works team of a local railway factory which had existed since the 1940s.

Since the arrival of ex-League of Wales manager Geoff Graham in 2000, the club have enjoyed four successive promotions which have taken them from the Shropshire County League First Division to the West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division. They have also appeared in seven cup finals and won four of them.

After clinching the West Midlands League Division One title in 2005/06, extensive work was carried out at the Beech Grove ground to ensure it met the criteria required for promotion to the Premier Division, and Rangers' place in the top flight was confirmed in August 2006.
