IICRC

IICRC, The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification is a non-profit certifying body for the flooring inspection, floor covering and specialized fabric cleaning, and disaster restoration industry.

Its primary mission are to sets standard within the cleaning, inspection, and restoration industry and promote ethics, communication and technical proficiency. While it acts as central conduit and governing body, it also pro-actively disseminates information to maintain industry-wide, productive, logical and fair recommendations for the protection of the consumer, industry workers and the environment.

As of now, there are a number of certified courses available in which some are advanced levels of recognition which are achieved by having several certifications in select categories and a minimum of three to five years of experience with pre requisite courses necessary. IICRC instructors must have at least 5 years actual experience in the applied-for subject field and must have good reputation, at the same time respected in the industry. Most of them belongs to prominent certified firms or equipment manufacturers that relates to the industry. Every two years instructors attend the IICRC sponsored "Train the Trainer Course." Initially, all instructors are presented for approval to the Certification Board (a group of some 100-industry representatives) and to the IICRC Board of Directors for final approval.

Companies and employees who have undergone training and seminars with the IICRC are respected by their customers and industry peers.They receive training in the newest techniques and information on the latest products. When consumers are informed that they have hired companies or employees who have undergone training with the IICRC, they can be assured that they have hired experts who will ensure that services will be completed in accordance with the industry's highest standards.
