Irene Osgood, Mrs. John Andrews (b.
January 18 1879 ,Big Rapids, Michigan - d. 19??) was an American writer on problems of women in industry.She was born in
Big Rapids, Michigan and educated at theSchool of Philanthropy in New York and at theUniversity of Wisconsin-Madison .She began her career as agent for the
Associated Charities atMinneapolis, Minnesota , and, in 1906 was appointed special agent for relief work in theAmerican Red Cross in San Francisco, and factory inspector in Wisconsin. She was head resident of theNorthwestern University Settlement , Chicago in 1907.She became assistant secretary of the
American Association for Labor Legislation in 1908 and a member or the Y.W.C.A. National Industrial Commission toEurope (1918), was author of contributions to the "Legislative Review ".She wrote:
