Patrick Volkerding (born 1966) is the founder and maintainer of the
Slackware operating system . He is the Slackware Benevolent Dictator for Life [ [http://www.slackware.com/about/ The Slackware Linux Project: About This Site ] ] . Volkerding earned aBachelor of Science incomputer science fromMinnesota State University Moorhead in 1993.For a short while, Chris Lumens and others have assisted with his work on Slackware.
