By
2001 , they already had several songs, and won the Bandeàpart.fm prize at theGranby Festival in 2001, allowing them to travel toFrance for promotion.Their first album, "Pop Culture", was released on
February 3 ,2004 . The first single, "Parle-moi d'toi", was a success, and the album debuted in the top 15francophone albums inQuebec upon its release, and stayed in the top 30 for 10 straight weeks. It ended up being named a finalist in the Best Rock Album category at the ADISQ gala in 2004.Their second album was called "Nulle part ailleurs", and was released
May 3 ,2005 . It included the single "Embarque ma belle", which was a radio hit that summer.The name Kaïn was derived from
Cain , the son ofAdam and Eve in theBible , who killed his brotherAbel .Members
