Teacher's Pet is a "Tales to Give You Goosebumps" short story by R.L. Stine which is about two best friends named Rena Thompson and Benjy Connor. Becca wants to get their teacher Mr. Blankenship back for making her clean out the snake tanks. They both fear snakes and the situation is worse because Blankenship is in love with snakes. When they go to the school to let all of the mice out, they discover that Blankenship is actually a snake. They promise not to tell anybody his secret as long as they feed him a mouse a day.

TV Version

The TV adaptation for this episode on the FOX series "Goosebumps" keeps in the premise of two kids (one a boy, the other a girl) discovering that they're teacher is a snake, but there are few differences::*The two kids discover this on a field trip in the woods.:*The teacher became a snake from an experiment gone wrong.:*The two kids try to destroy the teacher after learning that he is a snake.:*In the end, the teacher is transformed into a fly.

Dedication

Michelle Risi, who played Becca in the television episode, died of meningitis at only 16 years old. This episode is dedicated to her.
