Billy McCool

Billy McCool

William John McCool (born July 14, 1944 in Batesville, Indiana) was a left-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball. He played the bulk of his short career with the Cincinnati Reds and spent a year each with the San Diego Padres and St. Louis Cardinals. In 1965 and '66 he was second in the National League in saves and in 1966, he was named a National League All-Star. In 1968 McCool suffered a career ending wrist injury.
